WHY ADVENTISTS VISIT JAILS AND PRISONS
Four reasons jails and prisons are our missionaries:
It is a places where Jesus ministered through us (Matt. 25:36, 44 KJV)
It provides the Church with an opportunity to carry out the Great Commission that Jesus gave us, to “…go…into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
It enables Christians to continue Jesus’ mission to this world “to seek and save” lost sinners. (Luke 19:10)
It permits the Holy Spirit to work through human agents in getting criminals to see the need to allow Him to change their hearts from hard to soft, and thereby be ready to embrace a new life-style based on Christian principles. (Jeremiah24:7)
